  Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of the Mexican militias' battle victory in 1862. Like any other cultures historical monumental moments, we tend to embrace it and take the opportunity to have some great food, drinks and party. There are many places around the Cleveland area that will be offering specials for Cinco de Mayo (examples include GIANT margaritas with meals).  Downtown Cleveland’s TACO CRAWL! The ever-amazing Bar Crawl is teaming up to make a Cinco de Mayo party.   Common questions involving title insurance are: What is it? Why is it useful? Who needs it? These inquiries are especially important to know if you are in the process of purchasing a new home! You wouldn’t want to find your dream home, close the deal and then end up being liable for the previous owner’s mistakes.   The first thing to point out is that there are two different types of title insurance. Both are equally as important but knowing how to distinguish them can make all the difference. Lenders Title Insurance is purchased to protect the lender and the amount of the loan for your mortgage. This becomes useful if there are any problems with the title that can affect your loan. It is important to know that this type of insurance does not protect you, the homebuyer.   Owner Title Insurance is what you’d purchase to protect yourself. When the title to the house is signed over to you, this transaction is giving you legal ownership of the property. Key point: Along with any prior issues. This means if the prior owner didn’t pay their taxes or had an addition built, but didn’t pay the contractors, you can now be sued and liable for those debts.   April's just begun and we have so much to look forward to in Greater Cleveland!   #RallyTogether! Hotdogs, beer, peanuts, and Indians! Yes, it’s that time of year again and baseball is in season. The Cleveland home opener was Friday, April 6th and there will be plenty more games this month to go check out. Visit the Indians official website for game days, hours and locations.   There’s still time to “run away to the IX Indoor Amusement Park”! Don’t lie, you sang that. It is open the following hours this week: Thursday, April 12: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Friday, April 13: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Saturday, April 14: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM Sunday, April 15: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM Visit their website and order tickets!   Not into sports or amusement parks? How about arts and crafts? Avant-Garde Art and Craft Show is coming to Strongsville Recreation Center on April 14th and 15th! Lorain County Community College Stocker Arts Center is presenting Peter Funt’s Candid Camera’s 8 Decades of Smiles on April 22nd at 7:30 p.m.   Kent American Roots Music Festival is Friday April 27th from 4:30p.m to 1:00 a.m. in downtown Kent, OH.
